Depending on the solution thereï¿½s no reordering required.

Extra markup be impossible or undesired and semantically unnecessary. Furthermore the 1-row 2-cols table would be as high as its tallest cell. Therefore it doesnï¿½t work well for figures taller than their paragraph and for two consecutive figures.
